"Tmall", formerly known as Taobao Mall, is a comprehensive shopping website. On the morning of January 11, 2012, Taobao Mall officially announced that it would be renamed "Tmall".
On March 29, 2012, Tmall released a new logo image. On November 11, 2012, Tmall took advantage of Singles’ Day to make a fortune, claiming to sell 10 billion in 13 hours, setting a world record. Tmall is a new B2C (Business-to-Consumer, commercial retail) created by Jack Ma’s Taobao. It integrates thousands of brands and manufacturers to provide one-stop solutions between merchants and consumers. We provide 100% quality guaranteed products, 7-day after-sales service with no reason to return, and high-quality services such as shopping points and cash back. On February 19, 2014, Alibaba Group announced that Tmall International was officially launched to directly provide domestic consumers with imported imported goods from overseas.
On November 11, 2016, Tmall’s Double 11 set another record for the world’s largest shopping day, with a single-day transaction of 120.7 billion.
On December 11, 2014, in response to the State Administration for Industry and Commerce’s exposure of Tmall’s No. 1 store selling counterfeit goods during Double Eleven, Tmall officially issued a response stating that it had “zero tolerance” for counterfeit goods. It had removed 3 counterfeit products and 1 infringement product from the shelves. Qualified products and freeze shops involved in counterfeiting. After verification, the stores involved will be closed and cleared.
One hour and 49 seconds into the ninth Tmall Double 11 Global Carnival, the transaction volume exceeded 57.1 billion yuan. This figure was the entire day’s transaction volume of Double 11 in 2014.
The transaction volume of the 2017 Tmall Double 11 Global Carnival reached 91.2 billion yuan in 7 hours, 22 minutes and 54 seconds, exceeding the entire Double 11 in 2015.
