The latest to announce such a plan is Sharp, and they did it in style with the help of an electric minivan infused with AI, which also features a massive 65-inch display and solar panels. Sadly, the Sharp LDK+ is currently just a concept/prototype, and it might take at least half a decade for it to hit the market. Even when that will eventually happen, the first (and only, at least for a while) country to get it will be Japan.

In addition to the massive screen mentioned earlier, the spacious interior of this vehicle also features rear seats that swivel. Thanks to AI, the LDK+ can adjust the air temperature and screen brightness to match the home environment of the user. Obviously, this would require a connection to home appliances for retrieving environmental data, which will surely cause certain privacy concerns.

To provide privacy, the vehicle features liquid crystal shutters on both side windows. The storage battery and solar panels of this EV allow the user to use the energy stored by the car for household needs, as the car can be easily connected to a home and ultimately optimize the overall energy consumption.

Unfortunately, the technical specs of the LDK+ concept are not public yet. Since Sharp officials mentioned the objective to start selling cars by 2030 is not set in stone yet, a lot can change regarding this minivan. For now, the Sharp LDK+ is just an interesting mockup of what might be lying ahead.
