NYT 'Connections' Hints Today: Clues, Answers For Friday, April 11
Apr 11, 2025 am 11:41 AMDecrypt the New York Times Connections game: Clues and answers for Thursday, April 10
The weekend is coming, and most people are happy about it, right? However, today I was extremely upset because I fell into a trap in today's "Connections" game! I was blinded by my arrogance.
Friends who like some form of entertainment will surely discover this obvious "red herring" soon. But hope today's tips can help you avoid the same traps as me.
Before I start, I would like to remind you that I have created a discussion group on Discord for the New York Times Connections game and this column. There is a great little community out there, and we talk about much more than the New York Times games. Everyone who joined was friendly and a relaxing and enjoyable gathering place.
This is also the best way to give me any feedback about columns, especially if I rarely make mistakes (!) as I don't read much of a comment or tweet.
Here are tips and answers for the New York Times Connections game on Friday, April 11.
How to play Connections
Connections is a free, popular New York Times daily word game. A new puzzle appears every day at midnight. You can play on the New York Times website or on the gaming app.
You will see a grid of 16 words. Your task is to find out the connections between them and arrange them into four four-word groups. These groups can be such as items you can click on, the name of the study participant, or words that start with a body part, etc.
There is only one solution for each puzzle, and you need to be careful when dealing with words that may fall into multiple categories. You can arrange the words as you like, which may help you see the connection between them.
Each group has a color code. The yellow group is usually the easiest to untie, the blue and green are centered, and the purple group is usually the hardest. Purple groups usually involve word games.
Select the four words you think are put together and press Submit. If you guess wrong, you will lose a life. If you get close to a correct group, you may see a message telling you that you are only one word short of answering correctly, but you still need to find out which word needs to be exchanged.
If you make four mistakes, the game is over. Let's make sure this doesn't happen with the help of some tips, and here are the Connections answers for today if you're really struggling. Like Wordle and other similar games, it's easy to share results with your friends on social media and group chats.
If you have a full-scale New York Times access or a game subscription, you can access the newspaper's Connections archive. This includes all the Connections games before, so you can go back and play any game you missed.
Apart from the initial 60 games or so, if you need a prompt, you should be able to find my prompt via Google! Just click here and add the game date you need to have the clue or answer in your search query.
