NYT 'Strands' Hints, Spangram And Answers For Friday, April 25
Apr 25, 2025 am 10:28 AMDaily New York Times Strands puzzle game tips, word puzzles and answers (Thursday, April 24) Author: Paul Tassi Today, you need to look up at the stars to find the answers to the Strands puzzle, but it is best to be at night.
Strands gameplay
The New York Times' Strands puzzle game is a variant of the classic text search game. It is currently in beta, which means it will continue to exist only when enough people play it every day.
There will be a new Strands game every day. The game will give you a letter grid of six rows and eight columns. The goal is to find a set of words that have common ground and you will get a clue about the topic. When you find a topic word, it will remain highlighted in blue.
You also need to find a special word called a text puzzle. This will tell you what these words have in common. Text puzzles connect both sides of the board. Although the subject word will not be a proper noun, the word puzzle can be a proper noun. When you find the text puzzle, it will remain highlighted in yellow.
Note: You need to stay alert.
"Some topics are fill-in-the-blank phrases. They can also be steps in the process, things that belong to the same category, synonyms or homophones," the New York Times noted. “Just like she changed the difficulty of word games in a week, [Text Game and Strands Editor Tracy] Bennett plans to give Strands solvers some puzzles occasionally.”
What is the Strands prompt today?
First, let’s take a look at the New York Times tips, and I will give my own tips later.
It's in the stars
My tip is:
Not the zodiac
This should be enough to get you started.
What is the answer to Strands today?
We start with the text puzzle and then give a complete list of answers with spoilers. The text puzzle is:
Constellation (CONSTELLATIONS)
Its position on the board is as follows:
The answer is:
HUNTER
DIPPER
Cygnus (SWAN)
Virgo (MAIDEN)
Sagittarius (CENTAUR)
CROSS
So these are some of the most famous signs, and they do not focus on the zodiac. There is no Orion, nor a single star like the North Star. The difficulty of this game depends on how much you pay attention to astronomy and space, as well as the level of light pollution. In today's suburbs, most zodiac signs are hard to see.
