Pokémon Go Fest 2025 dates, start time, ticket price and Go Fest Global activities explained
Jun 22, 2025 am 10:23 AMGo Fest Global is the premier event in the Pokémon Go calendar, and Go Fest 2025: Global brings players from across the globe together for one big adventure.
Go Fest 2025: Global is mostly themed around swords and shields, with the release of Crowned Sword Zacian and Crowned Shield Zamazenta. However, rather than this being a celebration of Gen 8 as you might expect, there's a Gen 6 subtheme, with the global availability of Skiddo and Klefki, the debut of shiny Carbink and shiny Frigibax and in the release of the mythical Pokémon Volcanion. If this all feels a little less cohesive than usual, it's because it is.
To ensure you're properly prepared, we've outlined the Go Fest 2025 date and start time, ticket price and an overview of the weekend's activities - both free-to-play and ticketed - all down below.

The Go Fest 2025: Global event is running on Saturday 28th June and Sunday 29th June. The event will start at 10am (local time) and end at 6pm (local time) on both days.
On Saturday, everyone can hunt down shield-themed Pokémon during habitat hours or battle Crowned Shield Zamazenta in five-star raids. On Sunday, you can hunt down sword-themed Pokémon and battle Crowned Shield Zacian in five-star raids instead, giving you a chance to gain both the Warrior Pokémon.
Purchasing a Go Fest 2025 ticket grants you access to additional bonus activities, including a Special Research quest to get the Mythical Pokémon Volcanion (but if you've already got this, you'll get Candy instead).

Free-to-play activities during Pokémon Go Fest 2025
There's a wide range of free-to-play activities running throughout Go Fest 2025: Global in Pokémon Go - including rotating habitat hours and new Pokémon releases. Some of these activities run throughout the weekend while some are only available on a specific day.
Here's everything we know about the free-to-play activities in Go Fest 2025 so far:
Activities live throughout Go Fest 2025
First, let's break down the activities running throughout both days of Go Fest 2025: Global. Every player will be able to hunt the rotating Pokémon in the weekend's four habitat hours. On top of this, they can encounter surprise Pokémon while taking a snapshot, enjoy one-hour Lure Module durations and benefit from eight-hour Party Play, rather than the standard three.
Next, there are new shiny Pokémon to get your hands on. Go Fest 2025: Global marks the release of shiny Frigibax, who you can evolve to get shiny versions of its evolutions, shiny Arctibax and shiny Baxcalibur. Shiny Carbink is also being released during Go Fest 2025, giving you plenty of new Pokémon to add to your collection over the weekend.
Carbink will appear more frequently during the Moonless Volcano habitat hours, and Frigibax will appear in one-star Raids as well as during the Hypnotic Tundra habitat hours - giving you multiple opportunities to find your shiny!
Of course, there are new Costume Pokémon to get your hands on too - in fact there are four of them! As always, there are new Pikachu costumes in the form of Dapper Pikachu with red, blue and yellow accents, and you can get all three in one-star Raids.
The other costume is a Train Conductor Falinks which you can encounter in three-star Raids.
Finally, there's the Go Fest 2025 stickers. These have been available in the in-game shop for a while, but you can now get them from spinning PokéStops and opening Gifts until Go Fest ends on Sunday 29th June.
Day One Activities – Saturday 28th June
The main activity on Go Fest 2025: Global day one is the worldwide release of Crowned Shield Zamazenta in five-star raids. While those who were lucky enough to attend the in-person Go Fest events in Osaka, Jersey City and Paris will have had the chance to catch Crowned Shield Zamazenta, this privelege of catching this Legendary Pokémon is now being extended to all Pokémon Go trainers!
It's worth trying to capture this Pokémon, as it can learn its signature move Behemoth Bash while in their Crowned Shield form.
Naturally, Crowned Sword Zacian and Crowned Shield Zamazenta will both revert to their Hero of Many Battles forms when you encounter them after defeating them in a raid. These make use of a new type of energy - Crowned Sword Energy and Crowned Shield Energy - to transform into their ultimate forms.
You can earn Crowned Sword Energy and Crowned Shield Energy by defeating the Crowned Legendary Pokémon in raids or by completing ticketed Special Research.
Both Zacian and Zamazenta need to know the Charged attack Iron Head to transform. On top of this, they need 1,000 Crowned Sword Energy or 1,000 Crowned Shield Energy to transform, depending on the Pokémon.
Finally, it's worth knowing that once you change Zacian or Zamazenta’s form once, you can do it as many times as you like with that Zacian or Zamazenta without using more energy! Simply unlock it once and you're good!
Of course, rotating habitat hours return for another year in Go Fest 2025: Global. This year's habitat hours are themed around places and areas being called Moonless Volcano, Galvanic Dojo, Hypnotic Tundra and Fae Swamp. You'll be able to capture a range of Pokémon from different generations throughout them, including Clefairy and Golurk - all of which have a chance to be shiny too. Most importantly, all four Flabébé forms will be available worldwide - one in each habitat!
Here's a breakdown of what's available in each of the four habitats.
Moonless Volcano | Galvanic Dojo | Hypnotic Tundra | Fae Swamp |
---|---|---|---|
Houndour | Machop | Alolan Sandshrew | Clefairy |
Numel | Electabuzz | Swinub | Tentacool |
