ForbesToday’s ‘Wordle’ #1465 Hints, Clues And Answer For Monday, June 23rdBy Erik KainWelcome back, dear Wordlers, to another Tuesday Wordle. There have been a few challenging puzzles lately, but I’ve managed to stay slightly ahead of the Wordle Bot in this month's Competitive Wordle battle. Let’s crack today’s puzzle together!
How To Solve Today’s Wordle
The Hint: Top of the class.
The Clue: This Wordle contains more vowels than consonants.

Wordle Analysis
I always use Wordle Bot to review my guesses. You can analyze your Wordles with Wordle Bot too—just click here.
Choosing AWOKE as an opening guess was unusual for me. I rarely go for words with three vowels, but I decided to try something different today. Unfortunately, that left 182 possible words and only one green letter. GUTSY introduced all new letters, but gave me just a yellow 'T,' leaving 11 options. Luckily, TRIBE narrowed it down to just one word: ELITE!
Competitive Wordle Score
I earned 0 points for solving in four guesses and -1 point for losing to the Bot. Meanwhile, the Bot scored 1 point for solving in three and another point for beating me. That makes the June totals:
Erik: 15 points
Wordle Bot: 12 points
How To Play Competitive Wordle
- Guessing in 1 earns you 3 points; guessing in 2 gives 2 points; guessing in 3 gives 1 point; guessing in 4 scores 0 points; guessing in 5 costs you 1 point; guessing in 6 costs 2 points; missing entirely deducts 3 points.
- If you beat your opponent, you gain 1 point. A tie results in 0 points. Losing costs you 1 point. Add these to your total score. You can track daily or start fresh each day.
- On Fridays, points are doubled (2XP), so every correct guess counts double.
- Keep a running tally or play anew each time. Most importantly—have fun!
Today’s Wordle Etymology
The word "elite" traces its roots to the French élite, meaning “choice” or “selection.” It comes from the Latin verb eligere, which means “to choose” (e- meaning “out” legere meaning “to pick”).
Originally, it described the best or chosen members of a group, often used in military or societal contexts.
