How To Fast Travel

Fast travel in Dune: Awakening simplifies movement, but due to the nature of the game, this feature isn't activated with a simple button press. Instead, you must interact with specific NPCs, some of whom are well hidden. Be observant, or you might walk past them without realizing.

At the beginning of the game, you'll start in Hagga Basin South. Completing the initial missions will lead you to the Griffin's Reach Tradingpost, located centrally within the region.

Upon your first visit to the trading post, a quest titled A Wider World will activate. This requires you to talk to the pilot stationed at the location, who can be found in the back right corner, standing near the Ornithopter projector.

Each region’s trade post should contain an Ornithopter Pilot, so there’s no need to return to Griffin’s Reach every time you want to use the transport service.

When you speak to the pilot early in the game, you’ll be presented with three travel options: Arrakeen, Hagga Basin, and Harko Village. For trips to the two main cities (Arrakeen and Harko Village), expect to pay around 2,500 Solari.

Traveling to smaller locations may cost less than that amount.

You’re also able to fast travel between Trade Posts for a fee of 700 Solari, assuming you have enough funds.

If you select Hagga Basin as your destination, the pilot may prompt you to choose a more specific location, which sometimes results in no further dialogue options. To expand available destinations within Hagga Basin, simply visit any point of interest manually. Once done, it should appear in the pilot’s fast travel menu.
