If you've ever dreamed of setting off on an adventure with your beloved brothers in Palia, now’s the time to make it happen! The Hunt For Prismbeard's Treasure questline is a lengthy journey packed with puzzles, secrets, hidden riches, and plenty of excitement.
You'll team up with Auni and Nai'o as you dig into the past of the Grimalkin pirate Prismbeard and uncover details about his life and legendary lost treasure. Finish the entire questline and you’ll earn valuable rewards including Prismbeard's Map, Prismbeard's Figurehead, and Prismbeard's Journal, among other exciting items.
How To Start The Hunt For Prismbeard's Treasure Questline
To begin this storyline, there are just a few requirements:
- Character Level 30
- Visit Elderwood at least once
- Complete the "Learning the Ropes" quest
Once these conditions are met, the story begins when Auni arrives at your plot to inform you that he discovered a secret cave in Elderwood and wants you to meet him there. This kicks off the Adventure On The Horizon quest.
The cave can be found in the southeastern corner of Okanaa Bog, and the fastest way to reach it is by fast traveling to De Mer Dock. Once inside, after a short conversation with the brothers, you’ll slide down a large slope and land safely at the bottom.
How To Solve The Prismbeard Sliding Puzzle Nai'o and Auni will be waiting in front of an elaborately decorated door. After speaking with them again, enter through the door to encounter one of Palia's well-known sliding puzzles.
Auni admits he tried solving it but failed, and Nai'o isn’t much help either. Fortunately, this puzzle is relatively easy to solve. It’s possible Auni gave you a starting advantage?
Here's how to solve the Prismbeard sliding puzzle:
- Second row, first tile: Slide right
- First row, first tile: Slide down
- First row, second tile: Slide left
- Second row, second tile: Slide up
- Third row, second tile: Slide up
- Third row, first tile: Slide right
- Second row, first tile: Slide down
- First row, first tile: Slide down
- Finally, slide each of the tiles in the first row to the left.
How To Locate All The Prismbeard Treasure Maps
After completing the sliding puzzle, an image of Prismbeard will appear and glow brightly, and a treasure chest will materialize at your feet. Open it to retrieve a treasure map, then present the map to Auni and Nai'o for further instructions.
The map resembles a known area in Elderwood — specifically, Red Blossom Cave. The red X marks a spot within Red Blossom Cave where your next clue awaits.
Upon arrival, look for the graffiti of Prismbeard's emblem on one of the walls. Then, use your hoe to dig up the pile of dirt beneath it, revealing your next hint.
This time, you're heading to Jeunesse Pass, specifically the northern corner of the pass, located inside a cave below ground level.
This time around, the symbol of Prismbeard appears on the floor, with a pile of dirt beside it. Dig it up, and you'll uncover another treasure map.
This is the third and final treasure map for this segment of the quest. The location marked is on the western edge of Mitana Grove, high up on a cliff. When you dig up the dirt pile, you'll find a note from Prismbeard, directing you back to the puzzle room you previously solved.
Return to the hidden cave and interact with the puzzle again. Choose the phrase "A fitting reward for Prismbeard's demise" to continue progressing.
A new chest will appear, and inside you'll find the Pirate's Spyglass.
To proceed with the next stage of the quest, equip the spyglass. Go to your character menu and under Accessories, locate the Quest Gear slot. Click on it and equip the spyglass to continue.
How To Discover Every Prismbeard Statue
With the spyglass equipped, you'll now be able to see hidden elements that were invisible before. In this quest, those hidden clues will lead you to Prismbeard's statues.
The first statue visible through the spyglass is a gold and purple figure of Prismbeard near the base of the sliding puzzle. Interact with it to receive your first riddle:
Interacting with the final statue reveals a riddle, though it’s not essential for completing the quest. However, doing so will cause **the door behind you to light up
