What to expect at July 9th's Galaxy Unpacked
Historically, these 'summer' Unpacked events have focused heavily on Samsung’s newest foldable smartphones, and this one appears no different, with expectations high for the reveal of the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Galaxy Z Flip 7, and potentially even a Galaxy Z Fold Ultra.
So far, rumors suggest there will be incremental design changes and some improvements in specifications, but nothing dramatically new in terms of overall design or performance enhancements. Samsung is expected to highlight new Galaxy AI features, showcasing them through these new foldables, although such features are likely to become available across other Galaxy devices as well.
New smartwatches are also anticipated, most probably the Galaxy Watch 8 and its ‘Classic’ variant, and perhaps a new Galaxy Watch Ultra 2.
A redesigned Watch 8 has been rumored, possibly featuring a ‘squircle’ shape similar to the aesthetic of the Galaxy Watch Ultra, blending square and circular elements, and could bring back the rotating bezel.
Expect the software for these watches to include new fitness tools centered around AI features, though it's likely these features will eventually roll out to other Galaxy Watch models too.
