Eevee is the star of Pokémon Go's July Community Day Classic, taking place on Saturday 5th July and Sunday 6th July from 2pm to 5pm (local time).

During this month's Community Day Classic, players will have the opportunity to encounter both a shiny Eevee and an Eevee with 100% perfect IV stats – or if you're especially fortunate, a hundo for each of the Eeveelutions. Be sure to catch as many Eevee as you can over the weekend in Pokémon Go to boost your chances!

How to find shiny Eevee

Shiny Eevee was first introduced in August 2018 during its inaugural Community Day. Since then, it has featured in multiple Community Days, making this a shiny variant that most long-time players likely already have.

The shiny version of Eevee changes its usual brown fur to a lighter sandy brown tone. Each Eeveelution displays shininess differently – Flareon transitions from ketchup red to mustard yellow; Jolteon shifts from yellow to light green; Vaporeon changes from blue to purple; Espeon goes from purple to green; Umbreon switches its yellow highlights to blue while remaining mostly black; Leafeon barely alters its look, slightly adjusting saturation; and Glaceon changes from blue to a paler shade of blue. Sylveon replaces most of its pink coloring with light blue.

Each Community Day boosts the shiny chance of the featured Pokémon – here, Eevee – so tracking down a shiny shouldn't be too difficult. Just keep tapping on Eevee until you come across a shiny one.
